C. Final budget meeting in March/April – date unknown.
D. The Chancellor will address the legislative bill and not a particular institution.
E. Collective bargaining with over half in support. TMCC overwhelming in support. Not sure if the bill has been brought forth but it may pass.
F. Timeline for the president evaluations will be happen one year before the end of their contract.
G. WNC, President Dalpe is now a full president.
H. NSHE is still looking for $65 million in deferred maintenance. [GH] For Clarification – there were several projects which were submitted months ago (ARP-American Rescue Plans). Latest news is everything was moving forward on all our projects.
I. NSHE employees quarterly incentive payments has gone to the wayside, but maybe something comes of it.
J. Next legislative hearing for the Chancellor is March 23, 2023. Nothing scheduled after that date. [GH] Did we hear why he is retiring and not fulfilling his contract? [EB] Have not heard anything, other than he announced he was retiring at the All-Hands-Meeting.
K. Meeting notes for AB224. Glenn thank you for sending a link for the Faculty Alliance. Did everyone get it? Any comments? [GH] Always happy to pass on information. Nevada Faculty Alliance are strong proponents for us. [EB]Chancellor mentioned that we have collective bargaining in our code.
[GH] There is a notion that we are under the executive branch, but only when it is convenient. Unsure if anything will come of it. Possibly a change made to the constitution. [EB] At the All-Hands it seemed that way, nothing is written in stone. Ed will send the notes on it to be attached to the minutes.
5) New business
A. [JL] Are we expecting the remote work policy to be discussed as an agenda topic? Can we find out? NSHE lost another Analyst because there are no assurances. [GH] It is not on the agenda. [JL] Based on notes from Chancellor’s meeting it sounds like the presidents and HR directors at the campuses are on spring break so it may not happen be until the next month’s meeting. B. Send name requests for our next guest speaker to Ed.
